About Us
Cheerful Heart Center (CHC) is an Egyptian, non-governmental and non-profit foundation that serves the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (IDD). CHC was established in May 1993 Under the Auspices of H.H. Late Pope Shenoudh III and supervision of General Bishop H.G. Bishop Boutros and is registered in the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
Since 1992, CHC provided boys and girls with IDD of different ages support via morning programs and residency. Due to COVID, CHC, regretfully, was closed for a three-year period.

In 2023 with the blessing of H.H. Popo Tawadros II, CHC is opening its doors to all people with IDD with a highly professional team of staff, individualized programs, state of the art tools, and a completely renovated premise.
